After breakfast, set out for a culturally rich day exploring the Banni region of Kutch. Visit traditional villages such as Hodka, Ludiya, Nirona, and Bhirandiyara, where local artisans create stunning handicrafts, embroidery, lacquer work, and Rogan paintings. These villages offer an immersive experience into the lifestyle and artistic traditions of the Kutchi people. After breakfast, check out and begin your drive to Jamnagar, a city known for its temples, lakes, and historical charm. The journey covers about 320 kilometers and takes around 7 hours. On arrival, visit the Bala Hanuman Temple, which holds a world record for continuous chanting of the “Ram Dhun” since 1964. Later, visit Lakhota Lake and the adjacent Lakhota Palace and Museum. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and local life by the lake before checking into your hotel for the night.
Start your day with a drive to Dwarka, one of the most sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites and part of the Char Dham circuit. Upon arrival, visit the Dwarkadhish Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna, followed by the Rukmini Devi Temple, which is located a short drive away. Later in the day, explore Gopi Talav, associated with Krishna’s childhood, and take a ferry to Bet Dwarka Island, which is believed to be the original home of Lord Krishna. Also visit the Nageshwar Jyotirling, one of the twelve sacred shrines of Lord Shiva. In the evening, unwind at Shivrajpur Beach, known for its clean shores and calm waves. After breakfast, check out and depart for Somnath. On the way, stop at Porbandar, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. In the evening, enjoy the light and sound show at the temple premises before heading back to your hotel for an overnight stay in Somnath.
Following breakfast, begin your short drive to Sasan Gir, home to the only remaining population of Asiatic lions in the wild. Upon arrival, check into your resort and get ready for the Devaliya Safari Park (closed on Wednesdays), which offers a fenced but natural habitat where lions and other animals can be viewed easily. You may also opt for an open jeep safari in the main Gir National Park (at your own cost), which gives you a thrilling opportunity to explore the dry deciduous forests and spot a variety of wildlife including lions, leopards, deer, and numerous bird species. After breakfast, drive toward Diu, a scenic coastal town that blends Portuguese heritage with tranquil beaches. Once you arrive, begin your sightseeing with a visit to Diu Fort, which offers panoramic sea views and a glimpse into colonial architecture. Explore the Diu Museum, housed in an old church, and then proceed to Gangeshwar Temple, where Shiva lingams are washed by sea waves in a coastal cave. Spend some relaxing time at Nagoa Beach or any of Diu’s quiet shorelines. In the evening, check into your hotel and enjoy an overnight stay in Diu.
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and begin your journey back to Ahmedabad, which is approximately 400 kilometers away and takes about 8 hours by road. You may make short stops along the way for refreshments.
