Day 01 :
Arrival in Paro – Transfer to Thimphu

Upon your arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our local
Bhutanese guide, who will assist you through immigration formalities. Afterward, proceed with a
scenic drive to Thimphu, the cultural heart of Bhutan.
Upon arrival in Thimphu, check in at your hotel. Later in the day, enjoy a local sightseeing tour
of the city, taking in panoramic views of the Thimphu Valley. Highlights of the tour include:

  • Memorial Chorten, built in honor of the third king of Bhutan
  • Kuensel Phodrang, home to the world’s largest sitting Buddha statue
  • Takin Preserve, to see Bhutan’s national animal
  • BBS Tower, offering a stunning viewpoint over the valley

Day 02 :
Thimphu Sightseeing

After breakfast, embark on a full-day tour of Thimphu, visiting some of its most iconic cultural
and historical landmarks:

  • Folk Heritage Museum, showcasing Bhutanese rural life
  • Royal Textile Academy and Museum, preserving Bhutan's rich weaving traditions
  • Anim Dratshang (Nunnery), a peaceful retreat for Buddhist nuns
  • Trashichhodzong, a beautiful fortress-monastery and government seat
  • Handicrafts Emporium, perfect for shopping authentic Bhutanese crafts

Note: If you're visiting on a weekend, don’t miss the vibrant Weekend Market, a great spot to experience Bhutanese culture and pick up local goods.

Day 03 :
Thimphu to Punakha via Dochu La Pass

After breakfast, check out and begin your journey to Punakha, crossing the scenic Dochu La Pass en route. On a clear day, the pass offers a spectacular 360-degree view of the Eastern Himalayan mountain range.
Stop at Druk Wangyel Café for lunch, enjoying fresh local cuisine with panoramic views.
Continue to Punakha, where you’ll visit:

  • The majestic Punakha Dzong, located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers
  • Chimi Lhakhang, the Temple of Fertility, dedicated to the Divine Madman

Day 04 :
Punakha to Paro

After breakfast, depart for Paro, a serene and scenic valley known for its fertile rice fields and tranquil river landscapes. The drive offers beautiful views and photo opportunities along the way.
Once in Paro, check in at your hotel and proceed for local sightseeing, which includes visits to:

  • Drukgyel Dzong, the ruined fortress with historical significance
  • Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples
  • Ta Dzong, a former watchtower that now houses the National Museum

Optional: For the adventurous, a visit to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest) can be arranged. This iconic site requires a 2–3 hour uphill trek and offers unmatched spiritual and scenic rewards.

Day 05 :
Excursion to Chele La Pass

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive to Chele La Pass, one of the highest motorable points in Bhutan. From here, take in magnificent views of:

  • Mt. Jhomolhari (23,996 ft) – the second-highest peak in Bhutan
  • The sweeping Himalayan ranges, rivers, and alpine forests
  • On your return to Paro, visit the Paro Dzong, a fine example of Bhutanese architecture and monastic culture.

The remainder of the day is free for leisure, relaxation, or exploring the town on your own.

Day 06 :
Departure

Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel before transferring to Paro International Airport for your
onward journey. Depart with beautiful memories of your Bhutan experience.
