Upon arrival at Ayodhya Airport/Railway Station in the morning, you'll be received by your
driver and transfer to your hotel. After check-in and freshening up, begin your Ayodhya journey
with a visit to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir. Explore the recently constructed grand
temple complex, take darshan of Lord Ram Lalla, and admire the intricately carved pillars and
spiritual ambiance. Security is tight, so avoid carrying unnecessary electronics or bags.
Afterward, head towards Hanumangarhi, one of the most revered shrines dedicated to Lord
Hanuman, believed to protect Ayodhya. Climb the 76 steps to reach the temple and enjoy views
of the city. A short walk away is Kanak Bhawan, a palace-temple gifted to Sita by Queen
Kaikeyi, known for its beautifully adorned idols of Ram and Sita.
Have lunch at a nearby satvik restaurant and take some time to relax at your hotel or explore the
narrow temple lanes and local shops.
In the evening, proceed to the banks of the Saryu River at Ram Ki Paidi. Here, you can witness
the mesmerizing Ganga-style aarti at sunset, a spiritually uplifting experience. If time permits,
take a short boat ride on the river. As night falls, enjoy a calm walk along the lit-up ghats before
heading back for dinner at your hotel or a local Bhojanalaya.
Stay overnight in Ayodhya.
After breakfast, set out to explore the spiritual trail of Ayodhya. Visit Nageshwarnath Temple,
associated with Kush, the son of Lord Ram. Then proceed to Guptar Ghat, located slightly away
from the main city center. This ghat is believed to be the spot where Lord Ram took Jal Samadhi,
ending his earthly life. The peaceful environment is perfect for quiet reflection.
Return to the city for lunch, and in the afternoon, visit Treta Ke Thakur temple. It’s known for
housing rare black stone idols of Ram, Sita, Lakshman, Bharat, Shatrughna, and Hanuman, said
to have been used during Ram’s Ashwamedha Yagna.
After a short rest, explore Tulsi Smarak Bhawan, dedicated to the great poet-saint Tulsidas. It
also houses a small museum and a Ramayana interpretation center. If you're lucky, you may
catch a live recital or cultural performance here.
In the evening, make your way to Ram Katha Park or Tulsi Udyan for the Ramayana-themed
light and sound show. This spectacular display narrates the life of Ram with lights, narration, and
music.
After the show, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, sampling simple Awadhi cuisine or a satvik
thali. Return to your hotel and rest for the night.
Start your final day early with a sunrise visit to Ram Ki Paidi. The soft morning light, river
breeze, and calm atmosphere make it ideal for quiet meditation or a peaceful walk.
After returning to the hotel for breakfast, check out, but depending on your train timing, you can
visit Mani Parvat — a small hillock linked to the legend of Hanuman carrying the Sanjeevani
mountain — or stop by local craft shops known for wooden toys and religious souvenirs.
Finally, your vehicle will drop you at Ayodhya Airport/ Railway Station for your departure,
completing a spiritually enriching and culturally immersive 3-day trip in the sacred city of Lord
Ram.
