After settling in, your sightseeing begins with a visit to Durbar Square, the historic center of old Kathmandu. Here, you will admire ancient palaces, temples, and intricate Newari architecture. Next, you will head to Swayambhunath Stupa, famously called the Monkey Temple, located on a hilltop with sweeping views of the city. The spiritual vibe and colorful prayer flags create a memorable experience. Later, spend the evening exploring Thamel, the lively tourist district filled with shops, restaurants, and cafes where you can enjoy local Nepali cuisine. Return to your hotel for your overnight stay.
Following breakfast, begin your day with a visit to the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most important Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. You can observe daily rituals and life along the Bagmati River. Then proceed to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas globally and a center of Tibetan Buddhism. Later, visit the peaceful Phewa Lake where you can enjoy a boat ride to Tal Barahi Temple, situated on a small island in the middle of the lake. As evening falls, take a stroll along Lakeside Road, the hub of Pokhara’s vibrant cafes, shops, and eateries, all with stunning views of the Himalayan foothills.
