Day 01 :
Arrival in Guwahati → Transfer to Bhalukpong
- Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station
- Begin your scenic drive (~160 km, ~4 hrs) along the Kameng River to Bhalukpong.
- En route, visit the lush Tipi Orchidarium, home to exotic orchids and part of the Sessa Wildlife Sanctuary
Check in to your hotel and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.
Overnight in Bhalukpong.
Day 02 :
Bhalukpong → Dirang
- After breakfast, proceed (~120 km, ~4 hrs) to Dirang, a picturesque town nestled at moderate altitude.
- En route, take a short detour to Bomdila Monastery and visit local handicraft centers.
- Explore DirangDzong, stroll through apple and kiwi orchards, and relax in the natural hot springs.
Overnight in Dirang.
Day 03 :
Dirang → Tawang via Sela Pass
- Drive (~150 km, ~4 hrs) through Sela Pass (4,170 m), stop at Sela Lake, and pay homage at the JaswantGarh War Memorial commemorating a hero of the 1962 Sino‑Indian war
- Arrive in Tawang and check into your hotel. Acclimatize and explore the local markets.
Overnight stay in Tawang.
Day 04 :
Tawang Local Sightseeing
- Explore the majestic Tawang Monastery, one of India’s largest Buddhist monasteries
- Visit Urgelling Monastery (birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama), Tawang War Memorial, and vibrant craft centers.
- Optional: Visit Nuranang (Jang) Waterfall or other nearby attractions depending on time and permit availability.
Overnight in Tawang.
Day 05 :
Excursion to Bum La Pass & Madhuri Lake (Subject to Permit/Weather)
- Embark on a full-day trip to Bum La Pass (approx. 15,000 ft), near the India–China border. A special permit is required; access is granted by the Army only in favorable weather
- On the way, visit the serene Madhuri (Sangestar) Lake.
- Return to Tawang and relax in the evening.

Day 06 :
Tawang → Bomdila → Return to Dirang or Stay in Bomdila
- Begin your return journey via Bomdila (~140–160 km).
- En route, stop by the JaswantGarh Memorial again if missed earlier. Enjoy panoramic views of peaks like Kangto and Gorichen.
- At Bomdila, explore the Bomdila Monastery, local craft centers, and viewpoint with Himalayan vistas.
Continue to Dirang (optional) or stay overnight in Bomdila.
Overnight in Bomdila / Dirang
Day 07 :
Transfer Back to Guwahati for Departure
- After breakfast, drive back to Guwahati (~280 km, ~8 hrs) via lush tea gardens and rivers.
- Depending on your departure time, you may visit Kamakhya Temple or Pan Bazaar.
Reach Guwahati in time for your onward flight or train.
